CUNNINGHAM, Dale R.

Dale R. Cunningham of Bismarck, Illinois, age 62, died early Saturday, April 9, at his home. He was born in Danville, Illinois, August 27, 1920, the son of Ray and Pearl Wilson Watson Cunningham. August 9, 1941, he married Elizabeth Kleiner, who survives. He was a retired farmer and had been highway commissioner of Newell Township for 18 years. He served on the Bismarck-Henning Consolidated School Board for 23 years, holding the position of president for 16 years.

  Cunningham was a member of Walnut Corner Church of Christ, Danville Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite, Ansar Shrine, Gao Grotto and Moose Lodge. He was also a member of eastern Illinois and Western Indiana Shrine clubs, Rockville Elks Lodge and Indiana Ducks Unlimited.

   Also surviving are two sons, Jim of Covington and Dan of Bismarck; a brother, William C. of Forth Worth, Texas; and four grandchildren.

   Funeral services were held Tuesday morning at Walnut Corner Church of Christ at Bismarck with Rev. Dennis Lindsay officiating. Burial was in Walnut Corner Cemetery. – thanks to S
